Bones

The knee is the largest joint in the body. A healthy knee moves freely, allowing you to perform normal activities of daily living such as walking without pain.

The upper and lower bones of the leg (femur and tibia) meet at the knee, forming a joint resembling a hinge. A bone called the patella also articulates with the femur. These three bones makeup the knee joint along with associated soft tissues.
